Terms and Conditions – Mobile Sharpening Service

By booking or using our mobile sharpening services, you agree to the following Terms and Conditions. Please read them carefully before using our services.
1. Services Provided
We offer mobile sharpening services for kitchen knives, scissors, garden tools, and other blades as specified at the time of booking. We reserve the right to refuse sharpening of any item deemed unsafe, inappropriate, or unfit for sharpening.
2. Booking and Appointments
Appointments can be made via phone, email, or online booking.
We aim to arrive within the scheduled time window. However, delays due to traffic, weather, or unforeseen circumstances may occur. Please allow an hour before and after scheduled time. If we are delayed, we will notify you as soon as possible.
3. Payment Terms
Payment is due upon completion of service unless otherwise agreed in writing.
We accept cash and card payments.
Prices are subject to change and will be communicated prior to the start of service.
4. Cancellations and Rescheduling
Cancellations or rescheduling must be made at least 48 hours in advance.
Late cancellations or no-shows may incur a fee (minimum call out).
5. Liability
While we take every care with your items, you acknowledge that sharpening carries inherent risks, including but not limited to minor material removal, cosmetic scratches, or damage due to pre-existing conditions.
We are not liable for damage caused by misuse or improper storage after sharpening.
6. Customer Responsibilities
Ensure all tools and items are clean, safe to handle, and free of excessive rust or debris.
Secure pets and provide a safe area for our technician to work if we are operating on your premises.
7. Warranty and Satisfaction
If you are not satisfied with the service, please contact us within 7 days of the appointment.
We will assess any issue and offer a re-sharpening or refund at our discretion.
8. Privacy
We respect your privacy and will only collect and use personal information as necessary to provide our services.
We do not sell or share your personal data with third parties unless required by law.
9. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to update these Terms and Conditions at any time. Continued use of our service following changes constitutes acceptance of those changes.
Promotions & Discounts
We love rewarding our loyal and new customers! Please note the following when using any special offers:
Eligibility: Discounts and promotions must be mentioned at the time of booking or before payment is made.
One per visit: Only one promotion or discount can be used per appointment unless otherwise stated.
Expiry Dates: All offers have expiry dates – check the fine print or ask us if you’re unsure.
Referrals: Ask about our referral program – bring a friend and you both save!
Market Specials: Promotions offered at markets or events are only valid on the day unless stated otherwise.
We Reserve the Right: We may update, modify, or end promotions at any time.
Group Booking Terms & Conditions
These Terms & Conditions apply to all group bookings made with Master Sharp for mobile sharpening services.
1. Definition of a Group Booking
A group booking is defined as a single appointment where 5 or more households schedule sharpening services at the same location or within close proximity and on the same day.
2. Booking Requirements
The group organizer must coordinate with all participants and provide a list of tools/items to be sharpened at least 48 hours in advance.
Bookings are confirmed once a deposit or full payment (if applicable) is received and confirmation is sent.
Group discounts apply only if all participants are present on the agreed day/time.
3. Discounts and Pricing
Group bookings may be eligible for a discount, which will be clearly stated at the time of booking (available for kitchen knives only).
Discounts are non-transferable and apply only to participants included in the confirmed group.
If the group size falls below the minimum requirement on the day, standard pricing will apply.
4. Cancellation & Rescheduling
Cancellations must be made at least 24 hours in advance. Failure to do so may result in a cancellation fee.
If weather or unforeseen circumstances prevent us from delivering service, we will offer a new date at no additional cost.
5. Access and Safety
The service requires safe, accessible space for sharpening equipment to be set up.
Customers must ensure pets, children, and obstacles are kept clear of the work area for safety reasons.
6. Payment Terms
Payment is due on the day of service, unless otherwise arranged in writing.
Accepted payment methods: cash, bank transfer, EFTPOS (if available).
7. Liability
While every care is taken, [Your Business Name] is not liable for damage resulting from pre-existing faults, wear and tear, or misuse of items.
Customers are responsible for ensuring items are clean and suitable for sharpening.
8. Satisfaction Guarantee
If you are not satisfied with the sharpening, please notify us within 48 hours, and we will offer a re-sharpen or refund where appropriate.
Group Booking Terms & Conditions
These Terms & Conditions apply to all group bookings for mobile kitchen knife sharpening services provided by Master Sharp.
1. Definition of a Group Booking
A group booking refers to five (5) or more households or individuals scheduling kitchen knife sharpening at the same address or close proximity, on the same day.
The definition of a household or individual is 4 knives or more.
2. Service Scope
This group booking offer is for kitchen knives only.
We do not sharpen scissors, garden tools, or non-kitchen blades as part of group bookings.
3. Booking Requirements
One person (the group organizer) must coordinate the group and confirm:
Number of participants
Number of kitchen knives per person
Final numbers must be confirmed at least 7 days before the appointment.
4. Group Booking Discount
A group discount applies when 5 or more households participate.
All participants must be present at the agreed time and location (or have a member of the group pay).
If the group size drops below 5 on the day, the standard single-household rate will apply.
5. Cancellations & Rescheduling
Cancellations must be made with at least 7days notice.
Late cancellations or no-shows may result in a cancellation fee.
If we need to reschedule due to weather or other unforeseen events, we will notify the group organizer and offer alternative dates.
6. Access & Safety
The work area must be:

Safe
Free of pets, children, or clutter
7. Payment Terms
Payment is due on the day of service, per household.
We accept cash,or EFTPOS.
Group organizers are not responsible for collecting payment from others unless arranged.
